UH Track Team Back to Help the Basket Brigade Reach 600 Families
When it comes to teamwork, heart, and hustle, few groups bring it like the University of Houston Track & Field Team.
Last Thanksgiving, these incredible student-athletes powered through the morning—loading, lifting, sorting, and delivering baskets with the same focus and energy they show on the track. Their strength and positivity set the pace for the entire event, and their example reminded everyone what community spirit looks like in motion.
We’re thrilled to share that the UH Track Team is returning again this year to help us reach our biggest goal yet—600 families fed across Houston. Their involvement is more than volunteer work; it’s leadership, service, and inspiration rolled into one.
And who knows—maybe this year we can get the rest of the UH athletic family involved too. From football and basketball to volleyball and baseball, every team that joins in brings us one step closer to reaching more families and making an even bigger impact across the city.
The Basket Brigade runs on teamwork, and having the Coogs back in action gives us the boost we need to make this year our best one yet.
Thank you, UH Track & Field, for showing that true champions don’t just run races—they run toward making a difference.
Go Coogs. Go Brigade. Let’s feed 600 families together.
