Each year, fewer than 100 volunteers come together to turn donations into complete Thanksgiving baskets for Houston families.
On Build Day, volunteers help organize the food that donations bought — sorting items, setting up the assembly line, and making sure every basket gets one of each item. Once all baskets are packed, they’re loaded onto large trucks so individual volunteers don’t have to deliver through the city.
Those trucks go to pre-arranged drop sites, where a small number of volunteers help offload. The entire process — from setup to load-out — runs on community donations and helping hands.
