It’s November 1st — and that means one thing for the HTX Basket Brigade family: the countdown is officially on!
In just 21 days, hundreds of volunteers will gather to build and deliver Thanksgiving baskets filled with love, hope, and full meals for Houston families in need.
For us, November isn’t just another month on the calendar. It’s when preparation meets purpose — when neighbors come together to make sure no family in our city goes without a Thanksgiving dinner. Every donation, every turkey, every helping hand adds up to one powerful act of community compassion.
The HTX Basket Brigade began with a simple idea: a Thanksgiving meal can change more than a holiday — it can change someone’s outlook. Over the years, that simple act of kindness has grown into a movement.
What started as a handful of baskets has become a citywide tradition, powered by people who believe in giving back. Last year, we reached more families than ever before. This year, we’re setting our sights even higher — feeding over 600 Houston families.
That’s 600 tables filled. 600 reasons to smile. 600 moments of gratitude.
But to get there, we need your help — right now.
Every basket we deliver is built from your generosity. From turkeys and stuffing to sweet potatoes and pie, every item is purchased, packed, and delivered thanks to donors who care.
